Episode 117 – Everyday Adventures with Jason S. Frishman

In this episode, I talk to Jason Frishman about his love of food, and his joyful role in helping men to create stories and capture the adventure of life.

About Jason

“Jason is a psychologist and narrative coach who guides men to recapture adventure on their Journeys in fatherhood. He has been a food entrepreneur, educator and activist and believes that nourishment in all forms is foundational to creating sustainable and strong connections. Stories are an essential element to both food and personal/relational growth and he helps men to understand and acknowledge their own history, while crafting their preferred present stories. With a lifelong passion for adventures in food and culinary exploration, he was uniquely positioned to nourish himself when a series of health diagnoses required a dramatic and significant dietary change.”

Your health journey

After a recent diagnosis of several ticks and two different forms of Lymes disease, Jason has found himself on an extremely restrictive diet. Rather than let that get him down, he has embraced it and created lots of new recipes that he, and his family, can enjoy.

He has turned his health around, and is feeling lighter and brighter than ever, and positive about the future.

Food and connection

Food has always been at the heart of every home, the kitchen is always the centre of the party! Jason loves to create different dishes that mean everyone can enjoy the feast together.

He loves creating fun in the mundane, and encourages his children to get involved in the kitchen too.

Adventure in the modern world

There is an element of the ‘big adventure’ that has crept into our world, and Jason believes this is putting pressure on us to be constantly looking at what we are trying to achieve; putting undue pressure on ourselves. Jason encourages us to make more of an adventure of the everyday tasks that we all have to complete, in order to achieve the bigger goals.
