Episode 83 – What Next?

Congratulations, you’ve lost the weight, you’ve achieved your goal, what now?

Why start on Monday?

The fist question I have is why you start on a Monday – and that’s why my next free 7 day workshop starts on Tuesday 20th April 2021 – click here to register.

The Diet Industry

This industry is built around a revolving door, so they rely on your achieving your goals, then coming back when you’ve put all the weight back on again. Diets are just not sustainable long term and they don’t teach you how to eat for a normal regular life.

Harsh but true.

Target driven weight loss

Often the driver for weight loss is to achieve a number on the scales. You have a goal in mind and it’s often combined with an event – a holiday, a wedding. However if you go back to eating how you were before, then you are going to put that weight back on. Your feeling of bloating and poor energy will return.

You need a new toolkit

A toolkit will help to support you going forward. You need to be able to apply sensible changes to your long term diet.

By eating for health and vitality, thinking about how food nourishes you is the way to long term results, and remember what your drivers were.

  • What was your driver? Is it because you wanted to look/feel good for a certain event. Don’t you want to feel good all the time?
  • Did you feel better and had more energy when you ate better? Don’t you want to feel better and have more energy every day?

Long term habit change

Whilst you might not be able to keep to a restricted eating plan, there are often really good things that you can keep. Rather than being on or off a diet, make some small healthy changes. Once they become habit then make some more changes. This is the best way to create a healthy sustainable diet that works for you.
