You might be surprised to hear a crisp company interviewed by a nutritionist on a podcast about eating healthy foods, but their products are exactly what I believe a balanced diet is all about. It’s not about denying yourself a food that you love, it’s about finding the best quality version of that food. I discovered them way back in 2017 I challenged myself to shop locally for 30 days, which turned into 90 days and then became simple the way I shop. Just Crisps and Just Oils were one of the brands that I found and fell in love with, and I’m delighted to be able to have them on the podcast.
On their farm in Staffordshire they grow the potatoes and rape, press the oil and fry the crisps. Anthony is fourth generation farmer, and he is extremely proud of the heritage of all the products that they produce. The oil came first, and then the logical move was to fry their own crisps. Although it took them 2 years to install the factory and nail the frying process to meet their high standards. They now produce a wide range of flavoured oils and crisps and have recently added Fava Beans to the range.
They are winners of many awards including several Great Taste Awards and are keen to help customers understand the provenance of their products and their commitment to the highest quality.Anthony is fourth generation farmer, and he is extremely proud of the heritage of all the products that they produce.
David is their commercial director and is keen to emphasise that buying locally produced artisan products is better for your health and better for the environment.
You can buy their products directly from the farm, from Amazon or if you are local to me we mentioned CanalSide Farm near Stafford.
