I cannot believe that we are already at episode 50 of the podcast, thats nearly a year!
When I first started out I didn’t really introduce myself properly, I was far too excited to just get started. So I thought this milestone would be a good opportunity to say hi! and tell you a little bit about how I got here. Listen on iTunes
I started life in the building trade and spent 27 years helping grow my family business. But I have always had a passion for food, and when redecorating our offices a few years ago I installed a mural in the kitchen ‘you are what you eat so don’t be Fast Cheap or Fake’. that along with the huge impact learning about how Deliciously Ella healed herself with food back in 2015 and my journey to learn more about how food affects our health began.
I have started studying 2017 and gained a Nutrition and Weight Management diploma in early 2018, but soon realised that this just wasn’t enough, and in January 2019 embarked on a 3 year diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Birmingham. I am due to qualify in June 2021 and this has helped me gain a true understanding of the multiple complex layers of factors that affect our health.
I feel very fortunate to be able to have a change of career and refer to my previous career as my ‘old life’. I am passionate about helping everyone achieve the best health they can and created my Ditch the Diet membership at the same time as the podcast, as a way of reaching a wider audience. The purpose of the group is to educate and encourage, good health is not about rules it’s about knowledge.
And this week you get to find out what I’ve got for tea!
