This week I will share 5 things that you could do to help you get through lockdown number 2!
What are the 5 things that I’m doing that might help you too?
Move Every Day
This is very important. It helps to get our blood flowing, helps our brains to function, helps with aches and pains and digestion. Whether you go for a walk, do a yoga class or just do stretches. Even a boogie to some party music would help!
Get fresh air
If you can, then go for a walk or even just sit outside with a cuppa, it is really important to get some fresh air. This can help in stressful situations as the fresh air can help you to breathe easier.
Connect with your feelings
Whatever you feel, it is ok. If you are angry, rather than lashing out and taking it out on our loved ones, look at why you feel this way and accept the feelings. It is a very difficult time at the moment so it is natural to feel the way that you do, however it is best to deal with the feelings; negativity is not going to help.
Think about how you are feeding your body
This can be nutrition, your environment or information. If you watch lots of news, if you do not have the nutrients that you need, if your sleep is affected then be mindful of all of these things. Feed yourself well and think about what changes you could make to help this.
Stay connected
It is really important to stay connected with the outside world. Other people may be needing to speak to you too. This could be by telephone or video call and can really help you to stay connected with friends and family.
