How to Stay Healthy on Holiday (without missing out on the fun)

You've spent months looking forward to your holiday. The countdown is finally over, the out-of-office is switched on, and you're finally ready to relax. Then, within a day or two, you come down with a cold, your digestion feels unsettled, a cold sore appears on your lip, and instead of feeling refreshed you're exhausted, struggling to sleep and simply don't feel quite yourself. Why not take a pill for that?

I recently presented at my business networking group and one of the questions I was asked at the end was what I thought about the possibility of a pill that would deliver all our nutrition needs without us even having to eat. I took a deep breath, swallowed hard and replied ‘I think it’s sad, and I can’t imagine a world where I wouldn’t want to sit with family and friends and enjoy a meal.’ What I really wanted to say is ‘Did you listen to a word I’ve said in the last ten minutes?’. How could...
